Category: AST-TERMIS Webinar Series

Joining Forces to Shape Our Mutual Future
The American Society of Transplantation (AST) and the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, Inc. (TERMIS)
AST and TERMIS recognize to be pursuing overlapping objectives and are now coming together to launch a new webinar series.
The immediate short-term goal of the webinars is to establish a partnership between the two societies, who are leaders in their respective fields of transplant and regenerative medicine.
The medium-term term goal of the webinars is to prepare the ground to a new conference series, the World Conference of Transplant and Regenerative Medicine that will be launched once we will have left the COVID pandemic behind us.
The long-term goal of the webinars (and of the new conference series) is to bring together experts from both fields on the same stage for the first time, in order to share knowledge and ultimately foster progress in organ bioengineering, regeneration and repair which will shape and define the future of both worlds.
The webinars will be held quarterly and will consist of a 1-hour session, featuring two speakers, one proposed by each society.
The first webinar will occur on March 16th at 7:00 AM Pacific Time / 10:00 AM Eastern Time U.S.
Our first two speakers will be:
Dr. Giuseppe Orlando
"The AST-TERMIS Partnership:
How We Got Here and Why"
Dr. Stephen Badylak
"Clinical Application and Translation of ECM-Based Biologic Scaffolds for Functional Tissue and Organ Replacement"
